Harwich Submarines in the Great War

Our treasurer recently had a book published by Helion & Company. Royalties will be supporting the work of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.

We had a book signing at our last meeting and here are the happy purchasers!

The Welcome Mat

After a successful return to action, the club are ready to open our doors to visitors and prospective new members again. Rather than just turning up unannounced, we’re asking anyone planning to visit to contact us first so that we can ensure that we have space in a game. We will also be asking for an NHS Covid pass, either electronic or paper proof of vaccination, or a current lateral flow test. You can phone club secretary Brian Simons on (0780) 3009504, or contact him via e-mail. Alternatively, we can be contacted on our Facebook page.

Please note, it is now required by law that you wear a face covering in a village hall (unless you are exempt), this of course means we have to wear a face mask at Society meetings.

Suspension of Meetings

Following government announcements and the general the Committee has decided to suspend all society meetings for the time being. It is regrettable we have to do this but we must put everyone’s health above all other priorities.

The Committee also made the decision that Society will not be attending Salute with this year’s game. In the event of the show going ahead it is up to individual members if they still want to attend.

The Committee will continue to monitor the situation and update further as and when possible.
